I am a freelance photographer based in Brisbane specialising in capturing the essence of a person, place or organisation and give a visual voice to that story. I have worked predominately in Australia with businesses, NGOs and Not-for-profit organisations. I have also photographed projects in Asia. My emphasis is focussed towards lifestyle and portrait photography.
I love the diversity of locations the Gold Coast offers from landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes to street, travel and portrait photography. It’s a great feeling to head to the coast, breathe in the fresh salt air and be energised by the crashing of waves, bustle of the streets and sensational setting of the sun. Having camera in hand adds to that energy.
In addition to how I see through the lens, I consider my abilities as a planner, collaborator, creator and advisor help to ensure a successful photographic project. I am available weekdays and although based in Brisbane, I am available to travel including availability for weekend events.
Cnr Cavill Ave & Surfers Paradise Blvd (western side facing south), January 2016, around 9pm which allowed for dark sky and people/transport still active. I would wait until the G-Link was departing the station before activating the shutter.
Find your spot, create your composition in readiness of the G-Link, have your cable release or remote shutter ready and have fun. It may take some experimenting, but that’s all part of the fun of it.
