My name is Paola Caruana and I am a portrait photographer on the Gold Coast with a great love also for travel and landscape photography.
This image was taken at Currumbin Alley one late afternoon. It is a very popular surfing location for locals and tourist. These two surfers were onlooking at the surf before going in. The beauty of having my 70-200mm lens is that I was standing a fair distance away from them therefore it was not obvious that I was photographing them. I was shooting with the sun behind them on sunset, and this is how I got my silhouette image of the surfers.
This was shot with my Canon 5D mark 111. 70-200mm
ISO 100 F32 1/320 @160mm focal length
Editing was done in Light room with basic shadow increase, and also a little vibrancy increase. Orange hue increase. Image was sharpened and noise reduction increased.
